From April 29, Saigon Transport Company will open Ho Chi Minh City – Phan Thiet tour by train. There are two trains running on the route every day. A single ticket costs from VND 50,000 to 100,000.
The company will build a new Phan Thiet railway station near National Highway One in the third quarter of the year with a total investment of VND 27 billion, said Vu Ba Hung, general director of the Saigon Transport Corporation.
The train has been equipped with modern facility, including air-conditioning and soundproofing equipment, which creates comfort to tourists. Each train can accommodate 486 passengers, said Hoang Ngoc Tuan, head of the international co-operation department of the corporation.
Those who take the train are given free food and information about tourism in Vietnamese and English languages. “We want to help tourists enjoy the feeling of tourism shortly after they get onboard,” said Mr Tuan.
Because the Phan Thiet railway station is about 20 kilometers from Mui Ne, the corporation has signed a contract with Tien Lam Company from Ho Chi Minh City to buy 20 new buses to take tourists from the station to resorts.
Tickets for Ho Chi Minh City – Phan Thiet railway route on April 29 and 30 have been sold out, according to the corporation.
